Cashew Date Sauce

Serves: 1/2 cup

-2 pitted dates (40g)

-2 tbsp unsalted cashews

-1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

-1 tbsp dijon mustard (or more to taste)

-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust according to spiciness preference)

-2 garlic cloves

-Dash of salt and pepper

-1/2 cup water


1- Soaked the dates and cashews in 1/2 cup warm for 10 minutes.

2- Without draining the water, dd the garlic, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve with fish, roasted vegetables or chicken.
