  • You print some new meals plans, follow "healthy recipes" social media accounts and you're excited for this new lifestyle change you're about to make.

Monday morning arrives. Day 1! Your willpower is through the roof. Your motivation is higher than ever, and you're well prepared to make this successful. The time is now! Failure is not an option.


And things go really well...


You're meal prepping every Sunday. You're making a separate meal from the rest of your family, feeling proud of your healthy choices. Your energy starts improving and you even feel your clothes getting looser. The feeling is almost euphoric.


You start getting comments from people around you. People are noticing the changes in you and you start thinking that although this diet is hard, and you feel like you're giving up so much, it is SO WORTH IT. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels, right?


You're starting to feel confident again. You haven't felt this good in years!


But...then something happens.


It could be within days, weeks or in rare cases, a few months. But something inevitability throws you off track.


Maybe a stressful day at work, an unexpected family issue, a vacation, a birthday celebration, a fight with your spouse, or just that one social event that had all the foods you've been restricting, and you just couldn't resist.


You think, I'll just have ONE treat. I deserve it. I've been working so hard, and doing so well. One "cheat meal" won't kill me. I'll get right back on track tomorrow.


But it's never just ONE meal. The cheat meal turns into a cheat day. The cheat day turns into a cheat week.

Here's why this is so discouraging

With each failed attempt, you blame yourself and your (seemingly) lack of willpower. And the more this happens, the more you lose confidence in your ability to ever get healthier.

A note from Sabrina

I started dieting at the age of 16. I've eaten more boneless, tasteless chicken breast than anyone ever should in their lifetime.


I was a professional yo-yo dieter. Name a diet, I've tried it...or at least considered it. Low-carb, low-fat, paleo, calorie counting, 1200 calories, vegetarian..I've been around the block.


And some of them worked! I mean, I did lose and gain the same 10 to 15 pounds over and over again. The problem was, once the “end” arrived (if it ever did), old habits returned, along with extra pounds and feelings of guilt and disappointment.


I thought I kicked this “on-again/off-again” cycle when, in university, I found running and got a FitBit. I started severely cutting my calories, exercising 2 hours a day and isolating myself from most social gatherings. You can imagine that this way of eating, combined with my extreme exercising led to significant weight loss.


And to the outside world, (and at the time, to me) that was success!


But here was the problem…I was always tired, sore, moody, restless, foggy, anxious, and hungry (battling with carb and sugar cravings every day, especially at night). I felt exhausted, old, and hangry. It was the unhappiest I have ever been , but I felt stuck in the prison of my own body, terrified that if I gained weight by actually feeding my body what it needed or giving it rest, that would mean I'd go back to being "unhealthy".



But I was far from healthy. I was actually at the unhealthiest I've ever been, despite what the scale said


My idea of healthy was painfully corrupt. My relationship with food and my body was the worse it had ever been. I would force myself to run every day and was stuck in a "good" VS "bad" mindset. You wouldn't catch me dead eating a cookie. Like my life depended on it. Dieting stole years of my life from me, but the saddest part was skipping meals, passing up on family pasta nights, avoiding going to restaurants with my friends and forcing myself through workouts I hated every day.


All these efforts were considered "healthy" and "good" in my efforts to lose weight , but they were completely the opposite. Obsessing about being healthy is NOT healthy.


So I went to work on my mindset. I knew something had to change. I couldn't go on living this way. And as I opened my eyes to what real, genuine health really was, it changed my life.


And I know it will change yours too. I couldn't keep quiet about the (pardon my french) disgusting diet misinformation that was brainwashing so many women everywhere.


So I went back to school to get the credentials needed to serve women, beyond the quest for the perfect body. I became a certified Health Coach, opening my eyes to optimal health beyond the conventional fad diets.


Most importantly, I learned why mastering your habits is at the foundation of all lasting health behaviour change and healthy weight management.


I now have a thriving Health Coaching business helping clients from all over the world pursue genuine health and reclaim their life.
